A few days back, we wrote a blog that mistakenly identified Jamar Evans as one of the three best prep basketball prospects in the country. Jamar Evans, who has been arrested by Chester (Pa.) police and charged with the alleged murder of a rival gang member, does not play organized basketball. His cousin Tyreke, a gifted 6-5 guard from American Christian Academy in Aston, Pa., does and was driving the SUV when his cousin is accused of pulling out a handgun to fire the fatal shots. Jamar Evans, to his credit, told authorities that Tyreke, who had just picked up Jamar and two friends and was driving them over to his mother's house, had absolutely no knowledge of the situation or the fact Jamar had a gun in his posession. Tyreke has been cooperative with police and has not been charged with any crime.
